     This page is a free resource for Tuplet and Polyrhythm breakbeat music. I found there wasn’t much out there that utilizes tuplets and systematically with many elemental polyrhythms in a musical format. You can view them with visuals, or listen and slow down and speed up the track for learning by clicking the download button beside the track to learn different Tuplets in Polyrhythms, or to Download the .Mp3s to your computer. Then on your phone you can tempo nudge with an App like AnyTune practice for musicians.

     Each song blueprint of the sequence of polyrhythms is shared in the description. It might take a couple listens and a bit of tempo nudging to get the hang. The number to the left of the dash “-” is the tuplet grouping, and the numbers to the right of the dash are polyrhythms that tuplet completes.

     A little relevant reading material is included in the Blog posts below the tracks just to have something to read while you listen if you would like.

      Tuplets are note groupings other than 4, such as quintuplets (5), septuplets (7), or nonuplets (9). Each tuplet completes a series of polyrhythms, that add to 16 or 32 bars (or the listed Odd Time signature).

     Tuplet breaks are swung with the ride cymbal, by placing the beat between a triplet swing and the golden ratio – so you get an essential quintuplet, septuplet, or nonuplet swing, etc. Nested tuplets in the ride sometimes weave through the rhythm for a little added complexity.

    I made this project since I found it’s easiest to learn tuplets, odd time signatures, and foundational polyrhythms faster by listening to examples.
